adulting is hard. Like really hard.

It is filled with feelings of excitement and optimism but it is also counterbalanced with feelings of confusion, loneliness, and fear.

ON THE OUTSIDE EVERYTHING SEEMS FINE…

You are known by your friends and family for being the one who…

- is always “put together” and “on top of it”

- is a hard worker and “things come easily to”

- everyone runs to when shit hits the fan

You are independent, kind, generous, determined

BUT ON THE INSIDE…

There are parts of you that feel inauthentic, unmanageable, and at times even unbearable.

There is a lot going on - in your life, in your head and in your body. You’ve tried lots of things to help, lessen or make these parts of you go away. But nothing seems to stick for long and these feelings always find a way to rear their heads.

Leaving you in a space feeling trapped, not knowing who to turn to and feeling like there is no hope for getting relief…

CHANGE IS NEEDED - BUT…

- You are really good at pushing through the pain to keep things on track - so why not keep doing that?

- You are not the one who asks for help, others come to you for help.

- The idea of doing things differently actually freaks you out because it’s hard to picture what that will look like.

- You feel weird thinking about going to therapy because all of whats going on is really not that bad compared to others lives.

This phase of life is emotionally complex.
